Rat Race

A rat race is an exhausting and repetitive struggle to get ahead, one that leaves little room for rest.

This series follows cargo motorcyclists who carry heavy loads through Tehran's crowded streets, often without basic safety equipment. Their numbers have grown alongside Iran's economic difficulties in recent decades. Shown together in a grid, the portraits emphasise the repetition, strain, and absurdity of their daily work.
